About
My name is Jordan benShea.
The Eclectic Mind was launched in 2008 with the goal of giving my mind a place to race in a digital forum. By trait I am someone who is fascinated by strategy, brand development, social media, photography, food, design, our world, diy projects, and environment.
My mind works strategically whether it is figuring out how a stock will do in the market, deciding which flavors will work best in my cooking, or figuring out how to approach a company’s marketing plan, strategy is a part of my every day life. I thoroughly enjoy brands, how they work, what makes them successful, and why each person is loyal to different ones in different sectors. Social media drives my desire to share good products and brands in innovative ways by utilizing cross-platform approaches. I come from the belief that if you listen to the customer you will always achieve brand loyalty beyond any marketing dollar, versus thinking you always know what is best. Social media allows us to hear from our customers, employees, competitors, and colleagues in real time. I can’t imagine a better platform for strategy. Listen, than act.
Design has always played a role in my life, first coming to fruition when I was three years old and noticed a pair of red shoes a woman was wearing on the side of the freeway as I drove by in my parents car. Photography has been a bit of an obsession and I am known to be over-observant, and I love the way still photography captures moments that otherwise would be lost. The food thing, well I really enjoy good food and good wine and growing up in California has afforded me the opportunity to enjoy delicious choices. Our world comes from an ongoing desire to understand the diversity that lives among us, from the formation of the local mountains, to the cultures abroad. I am an avid recycler and environment is something near and dear, I am totally enthralled with those that have found a way to utilize the resources of the earth to be sustainable.
Welcome to The Eclectic Mind. Come on in, the water is warm.
